In the 1950s, Kapuna Hospital was established in Papua New Guinea's jungle, offering healthcare to thousands. Over time, it faced structural and modernization needs. DP6 collaborated with local staff to renovate and expand the hospital, maintaining its operations during construction. The new design prioritized privacy, hygiene, and energy efficiency. Solar panels power the hospital, and local community involvement, including training builders and sourcing materials, ensured its success. Traditional craftsmanship, like local wood carvings, was integrated into the project.
