Architecture-in-Development (A--D) is delighted to conclude the 2022 Global Challenge (GC2022) that generated valuable insights and synergies among our participating project teams, ambassadors, partners, and sponsors. On September 27th, we are organising an offboarding event* and inviting the GC2022 finalist teams and ambassadors to reflect on the year behind us and pre-announce our follow-up programs in the years to come.
During GC2022, Kira Intrapor* represented Aga Khan Agency for Habitat and joined as our jury member. She concluded,
'A--D is a truly unique organization, bringing together the world's most diverse and talented architects, urban planners, and designers to collectively tackle structural inequity in the built environment within their respective communities'.

About A--D 2022 Global Challenge
The Global Challenge is an annual competition organised by A--D that identifies and showcases the most impactful, inclusive and sustainable architectural projects worldwide, accelerating their development.
The Open Call of the 2022 Global Challenge was released on Archdaily in English, Chinese and Spanish. The quality of 2022 entries perfectly illustrated an innovative form of collaboration we call Do-It-Together. From the 200 applications we received, 59 were eligible and published on the A--D website. Nine finalists were then carefully selected by our jury and announced on Feb 15, 2023.
Together with the finalist teams, we embarked on a 6-month accelerator programme to boost their capacities and connect them to the expertise and resources that they needed the most.
